To conclude our “Married To Master” series today, Penny and I will be sharing with you some of the plans for the future that we have with our husbands. I’m going to break this down into sections, because Wolfie and I have lots of exciing plans coming up!
In The Next Year
Wolfie and I plan to head south for a fortnight again, without the pressure of planning an interrment at the same time. We haven’t decided where or who with yet, and we may even decide to pop the dog in kennels and go on our own. Taking vacations with the family may seem great, but sharing a bedroom wall with your younger, single brother is slightly awkward.
In The Next Five Years
Matt and I would love to move out of our ground floor flat and move into our own two-bedroom home. Ideally, we’d also love to introduce a new, bigger dog to our family. Matt and I are huge dog lovers and have chosen having dogs over having children. We have little Hugo for now, but we’d love a bigger dog in the future. An Airedale Terrier would be my preference 😉
In 2023, Matt and I will have been married for 10 years and we’ve planned celebrations for that. We were going to renew our vows but we’re both of the opinion that holding a second wedding seems like a bit of an expense when we no longer hear from many of the people who attended the first one. Instead, we’re planning to just have the party bit – the masquerade party that I’ve always dreamed of since I was a little girl!
Neither Matt nor I drive at the moment, either, and so I’d love to have learned to drive and passed my test within the next five years. It makes more sense for me to drive as I run the home, so I can chauffeur Matt to work, then come home and run errands. I was doing well with lessons before, but then I plowed through a flower bed full of daffodils to avoid a cyclist… I haven’t been invited back since!
For the blogs, I hope to have books written and a lot more content!
Plans For The Distant Future
The really freaky thing is, Matt and I both know what our dream house is without having ever talked about it together. I love rustic buildings with stone walls, large gardens and roaring open fires, and Matt likes large kitchens with Aga ovens. We both have our heart set on eventually moving to Devon or Cornwall, and so an old farmhouse with an Aga oven, a big garden and a big dog or two will do fine for us!
Ideally, we’d like to find somewhere with at least two bedrooms and turn one of them into an office for me. Now that I’m going somewhere with my blogs, I don’t ever plan to quit. Blogging is now what I know and love, it’s become my job, my commitment, and I’d like a room that I can turn into a home office so that I can work and keep my bedroom separate.
Matt and I have also talked about buying a caravan or building a tiny home and travelling. We’ve both got our hearts set on a a scenic trip to Ireland and Scotland so we can take in the rural scenery. A trip to Italy and the Nordic region for a night under the Aurora Borealis is also on the agenda!
What About In BDSM?
You’ll notice that I didn’t mention BDSM here, and that’s because nobody really knows. Some people sort of give up on or grow out of BDSM eventually, and for others, it’s part of them for life. I think for Matt and I, we will always enjoy a bit of kink but perhaps it will be more subdued. We’re not the young bucks that we used to be and being married now means that some of that initial chemistry has gone.
And as for my blog, I hope to see it grow, I hope to see it flourish and I hope that my name will be a name that people remember. I don’t want to be remembered because of a face I pulled or a new look or trend that I carried out for a moment of popularity on Instagram, I want to be remembered for being me. And, if by some will or fate that I ever do become famous, then I want to be remembered for who I am, exactly as I am, no filters or hidden pretenses 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this ten-part series and in some way it has helped you think about your dynamic. It has been a true pleasure to write these chapters for you and I cannot thank Penny and Matt enough for all of there help and support with making them a success. Penny and I frequently bounce ideas off of each other and we both want to work on future projects together. So who knows? You could expect to hear from us soon 🙂 In the mean time, do pop over to her blog and subscribe. She’s a fantastic writer and a great friend who deserves all of the loves she can get!
Have a lovely afternoon everyone!
Until next time,
Stay safe & have fun!
