It is important to remember that there are no right or wrong answers to these questions, only the answers of the author –  and that’s part of what makes this tag so awesome!

Send Me Your Questions!

Do you have something you’ve been itching to ask? Maybe something food-related, something a little bit kinky or something completely random? Have fun with it, then be sure to check back next Tuesday for my answer!

1. If you found a fountain of youth, would you swim in it?

Darling, let me tell you… the way I behave sometimes? It’s like I drank the damn thing! I’m young at heart. Even if my creaky bits disapprove sometimes, the heart and mind party on.

2. Share a quick story about your misspent youth.

I don’t really have one (ahem, total nerd). I think, perhaps, getting distracted by a 2.5 year online relationship that turned into absolutely nada? No meet-ups, no weekends together, no nothing but two and a half years of texting a man who might not have even been real. It’s why I’m so sceptical of online relationships now – some people fall for them hard. Folks, just go careful out there!

3. Some people say that youth is a state of mind, do you agree?

100%! My grandmother was youthful more less until the day she died, my Dad was always joking around and my Mum can be goofy, too. I come from a bloodline of complete idiots it seems and, you know, I’m kinda proud!

The thing I find with being youthful is that people warm to me. Youthful people warm to youthful people, it’s like we share an unspoken language. You feel seen when you meet another youthful person, you let your guard down a little bit and stop trying to keep up appearances so much. It doesn’t matter whether you’re wearing a business suit or a McDonald’s uniform, you’re kind of on a wavelength with one another and it’s a beautiful thing. The key though is being youthful and playful, not immature. Immature can rub people up the wrong way… oh, you know what I mean!

4. Do you feel that you wasted your youth?

No, actually,, I feel that my youth was stolen from me. I was a carer for my Dad from a bout age 8, then for Grandad from about 14, Nan 18-21… so no. I loved them all dearly, but I had too many responsibilities to go out and get drunk or high. Getting into places for free more than made up for it, though!

5. Are you anxious about death?

Yes and no. Yes, because nobody knows when it will happen. No, because I’m really curious about what’s on the other side. I’ve read so many near-death stories and I’m really curious about it, the after-life etc. I also believe in ghosts, presences and spirits.

BonusWhen do you dislike too much chatter?

Oh goodness, there are a couple of times. When I’m writing something or blogging – I can’t think and talk at the same time! Also, my neighbour loves a good chinwag, but it’s always really nonsensical, non-essential chitchat, basically because he’s lonely and needs to feel relevant. It’s sweet that he turns to me but I have things to do that mean that I can’t just stand in the doorway and talk. Either come in and talk to me while I do said things, or go away and find someone else to annoy!

That’s it from me for this TMI Tuesday! Join me next week for the next round! Do you have any questions for me for next week? Don’t forget to leave them in the comments below!

Until next time,

Stay safe & have fun,

Helen xx
