As we move from one year to the next, let’s take a look back on some of your most favourite posts from over the past 12 months.
I’ve been blogging for four years now, and whilst that seems like a long time and with not many views to show for it, I continue to learn and grow each day. Just this year, I’ve learned about the importance of SEO, I’ve learned why you should pick a name (and stick to it!), I’ve found my niche (finally!) and I’ve learned that social media is not as important as good content when it comes to running a blog. Each time that I learn something new, I implement it as quickly as I can and I am seeing my blog get better and look more professional every day. I love Kinky With A Twist, I’m proud of it and I’m proud to give you a blog that you enjoy coming back to and reading from, too!
Between 2019 and 2020 and perhaps because of the pandemic, the viewership of my blog has more than tripled. Although Two Kinky Cooks was something of a success, it limited growth and collaboration with other bloggers as well as not really being specific enough as a niche (a lot of kinky people also like good food, it seems!). By embracing both my kinks and my disabilities, I’ve found a much more specific niche, I’ve had a lot more success, and I’ve found something that feels really, truly and completely me.
Although my readership has taken a small dip between 2020 and 2021, I’m not too worried about it because there could be a number of reasons behind it. Fewer people could be reading now that restrictions have been eased somewhat in many countries, I did change my blog name at the start of the year (whoopsies!) and I have been blogging less, including a two-week hiatus. Crucially speaking, for so long as my blog continues to do well, continues to be read and continues to help able-bodied and disabled people alike, that’s all I really care about!
