Have you ever been this close to death before?

Hello Twisties!

Welcome back to another Bloganuary post. The prompt is now available and I am excited to write again for you. If you haven’t read it already, be sure to check back to my last post for more fun answers, or take a read of all of my Bloganuary posts under the ‘Bloganuary’ category in the right-hand menu.

What Is Bloganuary?

A fun and quirky amalgamation of ‘blog’ and ‘January’ (obviously), Bloganuary is a brand new tag award run by WordPress. Every day, a question or prompt can be sent to you for you to answer on your blog, however you so please. Why wait? Get involved with other bloggers, make new connections, reach new audiences and drive more traffic to your site today!

And now, let’s begin…

Day 19: Write about something mysterious.

Ho hum, that’s a bit of a vague prompt, but okay.

I’ve seen many strange and bizarre phenomenon in my life. Not enough to make me believe in ghosts (although I do believe in an afterlife) or aliens, but definitely enough to make me question what I do know.

Okay, so really weird, bizarre thing that my Mum and I saw once. We were fishing off of Newquay harbour, Cornwall. The water was very calm and there wasn’t much activity on our lines. All of a sudden, there was a large swell that just rolled towards the shore, it kind of splashed up and rolled back again. Until that point, the water had been completely still but it was like one random and quite strong wave. I thought it was weird and I looked to Mum, who was definitely giving me her best “what the heck?” expression. It definitely spooked us a bit!

Oh, and have you ever seen an airship and night with lights on? That one took a team of four of us to figure out!

Day 20: What’s your favorite photo you’ve ever taken?

It’s this one:

You’d think I’d got right on up in this tiger’s face with my camera phone but no, I was behind one way glass with the sun behind me. My Mum had shouted at me to hurry up so I took a quick snap and left, expecting to only have a black and shiny blur in the picture. What I got was this!

Oh, and one more, because I’ve been a bit bad the past with Bloganuary over the past few days and I’m feeling generous:

It’s a bit grainy, but this is Newquay harbour by night. There was a supermoon above and the reflection on the water… I’m not generally a very romantic person but this? This might have bought the romantic side out in me!

Day 21: If you could, what year would you time travel to and why?

Maybe 2000. I had an amazing millennium party with my Nan, Grandad, both of my parents, my brother and me. It was a small gathering, but we were all there, everyone was (relatively) healthy, it was a good time. Also, it was before I broke myself (my wrist injury was 2001) and my RSD diagnosis (2003). I would have been twelve, so still living at home and absent of concerns like bills or politics. Yes, take me back to the year 2000!

That’s it from me for today Twisties! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for my next Bloganuary post!

Until next time,

Stay safe & have fun,

Helen xx
