How do you feel when you look up at the night sky?

And now, let’s begin…
Day 31: How do you feel when you look at the stars?
Ahh, the stars. Bloganuary, you got me! I’m an avid stargazer when I get the chance, and yeah, I’m not too shy to admit that I have Stellarium on my phone (and I use it often!). You know how sometimes, you can’t put your finger on why you like something, you just do? The stars for me. They make me feel so insignificant and yet, it’s not in the least bit scary. Why? Because if I’m insignificant, then so too are my problems.
Around here, the night sky is a bit shit. There’s so much light pollution that you can hardly see any at all, but in Cornwall? WOW! I can remember sitting out on the sand dunes and looking up and just… mind blown. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so beautiful.
Logically, I find my answers in the stars. I often feel as though they’re watching me, but they’re not judging me, they’re just there, perhaps a twinkle from those that I have lost over the years. They can’t talk to me, but they’re listening to me work it all out for myself. In recent times I talk to them more, I ask for guidance, advice. Sometimes I feel as though I get it, but it’s not like a voice or an apparition, more like a realisation of my own.
Romantically, I’m not going to lie, I have a soft spot (a big soft spot!) for guys that appreciate the night sky. I dated a guy some many years ago and to be honest we were never going to work in a million years, but what made it special? We used to stay up and talk under the stars. He showed me Mars, Venus, Mercury, Antares… it was magical! Guys who are into the night sky are just in a league of their own I think, Matt doesn’t care for them at all and I definitely miss it!
Oh, and for one last little thing on this subject? This is the duet that I always find myself singing under the stars. Not to anyone in particular, I just do!
That’s it for Bloganuary Twisties! Did you enjoy these posts? Is there anything you would like to hear more about? Let me hear your thoughts in the comments.
Until next time,
Stay safe & have fun,
